The Tower, Colliers Wood

The Colliers Wood Tower was voted one of the twelve most-hated buildings in the UK in a Channel 4 poll in 2005 and the ugliest building in London in a 2006 BBC poll. Its blackened concrete and boarded-up windows made it a target of near-universal local dislike.

it was first built in 1966 as the headquarters of property firm Ronald Lyon Holdings. After years of dereliction, it was renovated between 2014 and 2017, reclad in glass and renamed Britannia Point, with 150 rental flats and ground-floor commercial units. Nothing pictured here is visible today.
