Paddington Station then and now

I took a photograph in Paddington Station a few days before coming across one taken from almost the same spot 35 years earlier, in 1982.

If I'd taken a few steps to the left, I would have aligned them almost perfectly. It's still a revealing comparison. 1980 (when I was 16) is so clearly a different world.
