Beaching the inshore lifeboat at Cromer, Norfolk

Wednesday 24 April. At about 7.50pm, I was watching the sun setting at Cromer in Norfolk when I saw the inshore lifeboat east of the pier. As I went down to the beach to get a closer look, the boat turned towards the shore. I thought about filming the scene but by the time I got my phone out, the boat was almost into the surf, so I didn't get very close. I did do better with the zoom on my RX10, as the boat was tractored out of the water and returned to the Lifeboat Station.

As far as I can tell, the RNLI were out doing training exercises, so nobody was in peril.
